Assura Completes Mannock Medical Centre 12 Dec 2011

Assura, the UK's leading healthcare property group, has completed its latest scheme, the £6m Mannock Medical Centre in Wellingborough.
The 28,520 sq ft state-of-the-art building boasts a range of consulting and treatment rooms, plus an additional minor surgery suite. The property also leads the way with its sustainability rating, awarded a BREEAM rating of 'Very Good'.
The project will see two GP surgeries, Abbey Medical Practice and Dr Datta and Partner, move into the building, along with Oasis Healthcare Dental Service and Cohen's pharmacy.
Simon Gould, Development Manager at Assura Group, said: "The centre's location at Isebrook Hospital will make a huge difference to the community, and the inclusion of dentistry and a pharmacy means patients now have just one port of call for all their health services. There has been a huge amount of hard work by all parties to deliver this building and we are delighted to reach this stage."
Dr Geoff King at Abbey added: "We have been situated at a temporary site since our former premises was destroyed by fire, so we are very much looking forward to moving into the new medical centre. The surgery offers exceptional healthcare facilities, which will allow us to offer the very best care to our patients."
The health centre was designed by architect Hunter and Partners. The main contractor is Galliford Try Partnerships Ltd.
